Apple Valley Chiropractor | Dr. David Giliuson
It couldn't happen to me.

Not me! A healthy, athletic college baseball player in so much low back pain that I had trouble getting out of bed, tying my shoes, and even walking. It couldn't happen to me, not me!
It did happen in the summer of 1972. I was working at a glass factory while putting myself through college. I tried to lift too much and herniated a low back disk. After months of medical doctors and specialists, with little to no success, my mother said "Try a chiropractor--why not?" In a week most of my pain was gone and the following spring I was back on the baseball field. Thanks Mom!
I spent the next ten years teaching history and physical education as well as coaching. But the miracle that took place within me was always in the back of my mind. At the age of 33, with my wife and two small children we took the "leap of faith" and went back to school at Northwestern Health Science University in Bloomington, MN. Four years later I was a chiropractor and our lives have been changed forever.
About East Valley Chiropractic
We've had our chiropractic office in the same location for 21 years now. We help people who are in pain, but chiropractic is so much more than that. We also help children with ear infections, bed wetting and scoliosis, women with P.M.S. and pregnancy issues and those who are suffering with asthma, allergies, sinus problems and stress. You see, chiropractic is not just about pain control; it's about the nervous system and how the body functions. It's about getting your body to work at 100%, 100% of the time!

My Family
Beth and I were married in 1978. We have two wonderful children, Sam and Sari. Family time has always been our best times. We enjoy going to the cabin in the summer and fall. In the winter it's nice to get away to Arizona (though that is usually just for a week). Cruising the Caribbean is a special getaway for Beth and myself. And golf--oh yea, golf!
My Chiropractic Habits
I get adjusted every week. Not because of any pain issues. It's to keep my nerve system functioning at full speed. I'm 59 years old, exercise 3 to 4 times each week, eat a healthy (most of the time) diet, am on no prescription medication and only need glasses for reading. Beth gets adjusted weekly; and when the kids come home, after they check out the refrigerator, they ask for an adjustment. Are they in pain? No. We know the value of regular chiropractic care and we are some of the healthiest people you will ever meet.
Enough about me. How about you? I'm an excellent listener and motivator. I would love to discuss with you the importance of "The 5 Facets of Good Health"--nutrition, exercise, sleep, positive attitude and a healthy nerve system, or help you overcome your specific health challenges. Please give our office a call or email me at the link below. It's your life. Why not live it to it's fullest!
